It is a historic building that was the home of former president Galo Plaza, a former diplomatic school and the former headquarters of UNASUR.
It also features an exhibition by the young Ecuadorian illustrator Roger Ycaza who, together with writer María Fernanda Heredia, won the 2014 Illustrated Album contest of the FCE’s A la Orilla del Viento collection with the book «Los días raros» (Rare Days).
